Stamp Issue “Trails in Macao”
14/06/2024 15:30
Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “Trails in Macao” on
18th June, 2024. Since the reforestation
project on the islands commenced in 1982, Macao has developed various trails in Taipa and Coloane. In addition to enabling a
convenient access to the reforested area to care for the saplings, the dense network of paths also serves as firebreaks and
provides routes for firefighting, while creating favourable conditions for the residents to explore and enjoy the nature.
For decades, the trails are refreshing for those seeking peace of mind and self-exploration, healthy for those training for
cardiorespiratory fitness, and ecologically sound for those exploring interdependence in nature. They are good partners in
life who grow up with us at all times and in all places, as they have always been, and will ever be.
This issue includes a set of four stamps. Four popular trails located in Macao, Taipa and Coloane are selected as the stamp
images. They are Taipa Grande Trail, Hac Sá Long Chao Kok Coastal Trail, Hac Sá Reservoir Fitness Trail and Guia
Hill Jogging Path. The souvenir sheet illustrates the landscapes and facilities along Oscar Trail, Coloane Seac Min Pun
Ancient Path and Taipa Pequena 2000 Circuit in the background. Visitors enjoy the natural ecology and engage in various
leisure activities, such as running, cycling, dog walking, etc. They reflect the multiple functions of the trails, which are
good places for recreation, fitness and cultivation of temperament.
