STAMP ISSUE “WORLD HERITAGE – ST. AUGUSTINE’S SQUARE”
To celebrate the 5th Anniversary of “The Historic Centre of Macao” inscribed on the UNESCO’s prestigious “World Cultural Heritage List”, Macao Post will issue a set of stamps based on the theme “
World Heritage – St. Augustine’s Square” on
15th July, 2010. The four stamps feature selected images of buildings with significant architectural and artistic value nearby the St. Augustine’s Square. Among these are “Dom Pedro V Theatre”, “Sir Robert Ho Tung Library”, “St. Augustine’s Church” and “St. Joseph’s Seminary and Church”. The souvenir sheet portrays the “St. Augustine’s Square”, the historic spot where the Portuguese gathered for social activities in the past.
The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the “Rua do Campo” Post Office, from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., and the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. The registered mail service for the above philatelic products will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is
Mr. Lai Ieng, and the text of the information brochure is written by the
Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government.
This is the sixth issue in 2010. The previous issued stamps are “Lunar Year of the Tiger” on 02/01/2010, “I Ching, Pa Kua VII” on 01/03/2010, “Centenary of International Women’s Day” on 08/03/2010, “EXPO 2010 SHANGHAI CHINA” on 01/05/2010 and “60th Anniversary of Bank of China Macau Branch” on 21/06/2010.

MOP2.50 will be issued, and various philatelic products will also be available for sale during the above activity.

To cope with the 2010 Guangzhou & Macao Youth Philately Club, Macao Post announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at our
Philately Shop located at Communications Museum at 9:30 to 17:30 on 27th July 2010 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “
2010 Guangzhou & Macao Youth Philately Club”.
A commemorative envelope priced at
MOP2.50 will be issued, and various philatelic products will also be available for sale during the above activity.

Commemorative Envelope of "Bangkok 2010 - The 25th Asian International Stamp Exhibition"
Macao Post will participate the
"Bangkok 2010 - The 25th Asian International Stamp Exhibition", located at Bangkok, Thailand, during 4th to 12th August 2010. To commemorate this Exhibition, Macao Post issues the commemorative envelopes and provides the commemorative postmark cancellation service on site of the exhibition.
Be convenience to the philatelist, the commemorative envelope with stamp priced at
MOP4.00 will also be available for sale at the Philately Shop of Macao Post Headquarters starting from
4th August.

Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of "Commemorating the 400th Anniversary of the Passing of Matteo Ricci"
To commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the Passing of Matteo Ricci, Macao Post announced that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up
on the 1st floor of Macao Museum of Art,
from 15:30 to 19:00 on 7th August 2010 to provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the
“Commemorating the 400th Anniversary of the Passing of Matteo Ricci”.
On that day, a presentation pack which includes a set of two different commemorative envelopes, will be distributed to public by the Macao Museum of Art, whereas the Temporary Post Counter of Macao Post will provide various philatelic products for sale.
