Issue of Definitive Stamps “Macao New Eight Scenic Spots”

ISSUE OF DEFINITIVE STAMPS “MACAO NEW EIGHT SCENIC SPOTS”
Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will launch the fourth issue of definitive stamps after the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), on 22nd November, 2019, with the stamp theme “Macao New Eight Scenic Spots”. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR, the Chinese Cultural Exchange Association hosted the global vote of “Macao New Eight Scenic Spots” at the end of March this year, converges both social forces and wisdom to jointly select eight scenic spots of Macao. With culture, history and nature as the core, the new eight scenic spots reflect Macao’s cultural deposits and urban development by intertwining with old and new and integrating Chinese and Western cultures.
This issue includes a set of eight definitive stamps, illustrated the eight scenic spots, include: “Penha Hill”, “Two Lakes and One Tower” (the Nam Van Lake, the district of Sai Van Lake and the Macau Tower), “Senado Square”(including the Building of the Municipal Affairs Bureau), “Long Chao Kok”, “Coloane Fishing Village” (extends northwards to the old Coloane Port and southwards to Tam Kong Temple), “Paixão Alley” (Travessa da Paixão), “Happiness Street” (Rua da Felicidade) and “Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge”.
The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office and the Communications Museum, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the “Rua do Campo” Post Office, from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office, from 11:00a.m. to 6:00p.m., and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Lei Tak Seng, and the text of the information brochure is written by the Chinese Cultural Exchange Association.
