th Anniversary of the Reunification of Macao with the Motherland"

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the reunification of Macao with the Motherland, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “20th Anniversary of the Reunification of Macao with the Motherland” on 20th December, 2019, to celebrate this commemorative date.
This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet, the images are illustrated the old and new scenic spots of Macao, including the Golden Lotus Flower, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Ruins of St. Paul’s, Our Lady of Penha Chapel and A-Ma Temple, are delineated on the stamps with bold and bright lines, showcasing Macao’s prosperity and presenting characteristics of integration of Chinese and Western cultures, ancient and modern architecture and religious freedom in Macao. In addition to the above-mentioned design elements, the souvenir sheet sketches a key innovation – a high-performance millimeter-wave electrical oscillator – developed by a research team at the University of Macau – State-Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI. The incorporation of the illustration of this innovative technology developed in Macao in philatelic product design, glorifies this stamp issue dedicated to celebrating the anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland.
This issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office and the Communications Museum, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m. The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. In addition, China Post and Macao Post and Telecommunications are jointly issued a souvenir sheet, which contains 3 stamps of each postal administration. The stamps of the two postal administrations adopt the same design, representing loving the Motherland and the Macao, passed on to the new generation; integration of Chinese and Western cultures, harmony; urban construction, and prosperous development.

The total printing quantity of stamps is integrated into souvenir sheets jointly issued by China Post and Macao Post and Telecommunications, which have been transformed as presentation pack. Among the total printing quantity of 210,000 packs, the total of 60,000 packs to be sold in Macao are numbered with the code “M” representing Macao, this pack is priced at 22.00 patacas each.
Due to the limited quantity, the sales-quota per queuing customer on the issue date is 10 presentation packs. The limited quantity of First Day Cover and Information Brochure (without stamps) will be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of General Post Office on the issue date; customers can produce the philatelic products by affixing the Macao stamps from the presentation pack with the issue postmark for your collection or mail to your beloved friends and relatives in sharing your joyfulness.
Except the joint stamps are designed by Mr. Han Binghua, the whole set of stamps for this issue is designer by Mr. Wilson Chi Ian Lam, and the text of the information brochure is written by Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau.
