31/08/2023 15:29
Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “Explore Macao” on 1st September, 2023. The unique urban style and charm of Macao are reflected in the streets and alleys. In the city, buildings with Sino-Portuguese historical architecture and cultural characteristics can be seen everywhere, attracting a large number of tourists every year.
This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet. Dino, an intellectual property character created by local artists, becomes a tourist and brings us to five popular tourist spots to experience the charm of Macao, including: Lilau Square, with many remaining Western-style buildings which give a touch of southern European charm; St. Augustine’s Square, which has a strong religious, cultural and artistic atmosphere; Cathedral Square, which retains the solemn and sacred atmosphere of Catholicism; Ruins of St. Paul’s, the ruins of the facade of the old church of Mater Dei and the St. Paul’s College; and Senado Square, which has been Macao’s urban centre for centuries, and local residents call it the “Fountain”.
The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.).
