STAMP ISSUE “CENTENARY OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY”

In celebration of the Centenary of International Women’s Day, Macao Post will issue the stamp theme “Centenary of International Women’s Day” on 8th March, 2010. This issue includes a set of four stamps and a souvenir sheet. The combination of the four stamps designed as the word “38” showing the special culture of the women in different continents all over the world; and the background image of Phoenix shown on the souvenir sheet symbolizing women has presented the development and the successful women nowadays in the society.

The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the “Rua do Campo” Post Office, from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., and the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. The registered mail service for the above philatelic products will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Ng Wai Kin, and the text for the information brochure is written by The Women’s General Association of Macau.

This is the third issue in 2010. The previous issued stamps are “Lunar Year of the Tiger” on 02/01/2010 and “I Ching, Pa Kua VII” on 01/03/2010.

Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “FIAP EXCO Meeting 2010 Macao”

To cope with the FIAP EXCO Meeting 2010 Macao, Macao Post announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at our Philately Shop located at Communications Museum at 9:30 to 17:30 on 8th March 2010 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “FIAP EXCO Meeting 2010 Macao”.

     

A commemorative envelope priced at MOP2.50 will be issued, together with the various philatelic products available for sale during the above activity.

Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “World Forest Day”

To celebrate the World Forest Day, Macao Post announced that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at Senado Square, at 9:00 to 18:00 on 21st March 2010 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “World Forest Day”.

           

A commemorative envelope will be distributed to public, and various philatelic products will also be available for sale during the above activity.

Besides, Macao Post will distribute the above-mentioned envelope during the period of 12th to 20th March 2010 at Macao Post Headquarters and all post offices.

POSTAGE PAID POSTCARD “HONG KONG-ZHUHAI-MACAO BRIDGE”

The construction on the “Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge”, a cross-sea bridge linking Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao in the Pearl River Delta, China commenced on the 15th December 2009 at Zhuhai. In the future, closer relationship of the three regions will be achieved because of this cross-sea bridge. To commemorate this occasion, Macao Post, China Post and Hongkong Post jointly issue the postage paid postcard with the theme “Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge” on 24th March 2010, which is the hundredth day since commencement of the construction of the bridge. The issuance of the postcard is to commemorate this special day, and at the same time has marked an important milestone for the social and economic development in the Pearl River Delta region.



The design of the postcard uses the conceptual design to represent the magnificent structure of the bridge, and the city flowers “Bauhinia”, “Bougainvillea” and “Lotus Flower” symbolizing the three regions of Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao linking together. The postcard issued by Macao Post is applied the silver foil on the lotus flower, to highlight the region.

The postage paid postcard will be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of Macao Post Headquarters, “Rua do Campo” Post Office, Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office, Airport Post Office, and the Communications Museum on 24th March 2010. The postage paid postcard to be sold in Macao is priced at MOP6.00 each, you can send this postcard to every corner of the world without stamp.


SUPPLEMENTS FOR PHILATELIC ALBUM OF MACAO

Macao Post will release the reprint “Supplements for Philatelic Album of Macao” on 12th April 2010, it will be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of Macao Post Headquarters and the Communications Museum. The first-print was issued on 2001. The album pages are pre-printed with all the stamps’ images from the year 1976 to 1999 before the Handover of Macao to China. Your collections of stamps and souvenir sheets can be put into the pre-printed pages for convenient storage.



The selling price of above Philatelic Album is priced at MOP1,400.00.
