STAMP ISSUE “ANTIQUE TELEPHONES IN MACAO”
Telephone is an important instrument for the transmission of communications, it was a major development over several decades, from less than 100 lines to 170,000 lines at present. One can therefore determine that telecommunications have an important significance in the history of Macao’s development. Macao Post will issue the stamp theme “
Antique Telephones in Macao” on
9th October, 2010. This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet. The stamps illustrated with telephone characteristic of each era are believed to be a meaningful collection.
The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., and the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. The registered mail service for the above philatelic products will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The philatelic products are as follows:
The stamp designer of this issue is
Mr. Ao Kuan Kin, and the text of the information brochure is written by the
Communications Museum – Macao Post.
This is the ninth issue in 2010. 5th November, 2010.
PRESTIGE STAMP ALBUM ON CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY
Among the magnificent art treasures, calligraphy is a unique and ancient art in China, the postal administrations of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao have also released the related thematic stamps. To promote this historical Chinese civilizations over thousands of years, Macao Post, Guangdong Post and Hongkong Post jointly compiled the thematic of calligraphic stamps as a prestige stamp album.
The “
Prestige Stamp Album on Chinese Calligraphy” is presented in a hard cover, the inner pages are fully described with Seal Script, Official Script, Cursive Script, Regular Script, Running Script, and Calligraphic & Painting Arts. It comprises 7 series of calligraphic stamps previously issued by the 3 postal administrations, which included the “Four Treasures of the Study”, the Seal Characters, Official Script, Regular Script and Running Script under the series of “Chinese Ancient Calligraphy” issued by China Post; “Arts in Macau - Chinese Calligraphy” issued by Macao Post, and “Hong Kong Museums Collection” issued by Hongkong Post.
This stamp album will be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of Macao Post Headquarters, “Rua do Campo” Post Office, Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office, Airport Post Office, and the Communications Museum starting from
9th October, 2010. This album is priced at
MOP280.00, and it is an excellent product, to the stamp collectors and art lovers.

Commemorativo Postmark Cancellation Service of "Open Day of Government Headquarters of the MSAR"
Macao Post announces that the Temporary Post Counter for the
“Open Day of Government Headquarters of the MSAR”, that scheduled on 23rd to 24th October from 9:00 to 18:00 in front of Government Headquarters, Avenida Doutor Stanley Ho, according to the weather forecast, will now be postponed to
30th to 31st October.
To celebrate the Open Day of Government Headquarters of the MSAR, Macao Post announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up
in front of Government Headquarters, Avenida Doutor Stanley Ho, at 9H00 to 18H00 on 30th to 31st October 2010 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the
“Open Day of Government Headquarters of the MSAR”.
