STAMP ISSUE “10TH ANNIVERSARY OF MACAU FOOD FESTIVAL”

Since the 1st Macau Food Festival was held in the year of 2000, this year is running to the 10th anniversary. In celebration of this great tourism event which representing Macao, Macao Post will issue the stamp theme “10th Anniversary of Macau Food Festival” at its opening day on 5th November, 2010. The above issue will also be available for sale at the location of Macau Food Festival on the issue date. This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet. The stamps presented the five famous snacks which were the most popular in all past events, including Wanton Noodles, Xiao Long Bao (small steamed buns), Sushi, Portuguese Egg Tart and a famous local dish, Portuguese Chicken. Besides, the design of the souvenir sheet even better reflects the excitement and happiness on the site of the event set against the splendid fireworks.

The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the “Rua do Campo” Post Office, from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m., and Sai Van Lake Square, from 3:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. The registered mail service for the above philatelic products will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Carlos Gonçalves , and the text of the information brochure is written by the President of the United Association of Food and Beverage Merchants of Macao, Mr. Chan Chak Mo.

This is the tenth issue in 2010. Commemorative Envelope of “Beijing International Stamp & Coin Exposition 2010”

Macao Post will participate the “Beijing International Stamp & Coin Exposition 2010”, located at Beijing, China, during 7th to 10th November 2010. To commemorate this Exhibition, Macao Post issues the commemorative envelopes and provides the commemorative postmark cancellation service on site of the exhibition.

Be convenience to the philatelist, the commemorative envelope with stamp priced at MOP4.00 will also be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of Macao Post Headquarters starting from 7th November.

Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “57th Macau Grand Prix”

To celebrate the 57th Macau Grand Prix, Macao Post announced that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up behind the Lisboa Stand (Restriction area for ticket entry) and the Philatelic Shop of Macao Post Headquarters on 20th and 21st November 2010, providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “57th Macau Grand Prix”.

     

Two designs of commemorative envelopes priced at MOP2.50 for each will be issued, and various philatelic products will be available for sale during the above activity. The service hours are as following:
