STAMP ISSUE “TRADITIONAL FOLK COSTUMES”

The magnificent traditional folk costumes of China have a long history and constitute an integral part of the Chinese culture, Macao Post will issue the stamp theme “Traditional Folk Costumes” on 30th November, 2010. This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet. The stamps presented the four most popular folk costumes, including Tang suit (Tangzhung), Qipao, Blouse and long skirt (Duanyichangqun) and Chinese tunic suit (Zhongsanzhung). Through the changes of folk costumes, it reflects the social situation and development of each era.

The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the “Rua do Campo” Post Office, from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., and the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. The registered mail service for the above philatelic products will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Lio Man Cheong, and the text of the information brochure is written by Mr. Kam Chung Tsz.

Macao Post will issue a new Christmas Card with the image of Our Lady of Hope selected from the St. Lazarus Church. This card will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, all post offices and postal kiosks on 2nd December, 2010.



It is priced at MOP8.00 each, you can send this greeting card to every corner of the world without stamp, saving your time and money.


Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of Macau International Airport”

To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Macau International Airport, Macao Post announced that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at Airport Post office, from 9:00 to 18:00 on 8th December 2010 to provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of Macau International Airport”.



The distribution quota of the commemorative envelope with stamp will be two per person, and various philatelic products will also be available for sale during the above activity.
