STAMP ISSUE “LUNAR YEAR OF THE RABBIT”
Macao Post will release the fourth issue of the third series of Chinese Zodiac philatelic products with the stamp theme “
Lunar Year of the Rabbit” on the
5th January, 2011. The conceptual design of the stamp is combined with the different forms of the Rabbit and the distinguishing characteristics of “Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth”. This year, the rabbit’s nature from the “Five Elements” is “Metal Rabbit”, so it becomes the main character of the five stamps. The design of the souvenir sheet presented a vivid scene of a metal rabbit jumping out of a magician’s hat. The “Metal Rabbit” stamp is applied with emboss printing technique to highlight the image of metal rabbit on the bright full moon, while the hot foil stamping with holographic and gold are used respectively on the stamp’s surface, the face values and the characters.
The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the “Rua do Campo” Post Office, from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., and the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. The registered mail service for the above philatelic products will be available on the issue date at the above locations. our Philatelic Shop located at Macao Post Headquarters at 9:00 to 17:30 on 18th January 2011 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “
Opening of the Macao Giant Panda Pavilion”.

Macao Post will release the “
Supplements for Philatelic Album of Macao 2010” on
27th January 2011, it will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters and the Communications Museum. The album pages are pre-printed with all the stamps’ images of 2010. Your collections of stamps and souvenir sheets of 2010 can be put into the pre-printed pages for convenient storage.
