STAMP ISSUE “25TH MACAO INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL”

To celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the Macao International Music Festival, Macao Post will issue the stamp theme “25^th Macao International Music Festival” on 9^th October, 2011, sharing the joy of music to every corner of the world through this set of stamps. This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet, the four stamps feature a keyboard, a trumpet, a drum and strings against a white, webbed background, conveying interaction between the various musical instruments. The souvenir sheet sets against a grey field and the uneven black lines present clear and rapid rhythm, establishing a vivid, attractive mood.

The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., and the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. The registered mail service for the above philatelic products will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The design of this stamp issue and the text of the information brochure are responsible by Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. The stamp designer of ICM is Mr. Victor Hugo Marreiros and Mr. Leong Chi Hang.

This is the seventh issue in 2011. The previous issued stamps are “Lunar Year of the Rabbit” on 05/01/2011, “Mainland Scenery IV” on 01/03/201, “Public Buildings and Monuments” on 19/04/2011, “Cantonese Naamyam” on 30/05/2011, “Legends and Myths IX – The Legend of the White Snake” on 28/07/2011 and “50^th Anniversary of WWF”on 11/09/2011.
