STAMP ISSUE “140TH ANNIVERSARY OF KIANG WU HOSPITAL CHARITABLE ASSOCIATION”

Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association was established in 1871, is one of the large-scale charitable organizations run by the locals in Macao. Its subordinate organizations including Kiang Wu Hospital, Kiang Wu Nursing College, Kiang Peng Middle School and social service organizations including the Kiang Wu Funeral Parlour and the Kiang Wu Mourning Garden. To celebrate its 140 anniversary, Macao Post will issue the stamp theme “140th Anniversary of Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association” on 28th October, 2011. This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet. The design integrate the images such as the emblem, establishment stele, board, bronze statue of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, pictures of buildings as well as the white marble embossments, etc., indicates the development process of the Charitable Association closely connected with Macao history of 140 years since the establishment and consistent purpose of serving the society.

The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the “Rua do Campo” Post Office, from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., and the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Ng Wai Kin, and the text of the information brochure is written by the Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association.

THEMATIC PACK “MACAO SEEN BY ARTISTS”

The well-known Spanish painter Charles Chauderlot is skillful at capturing the soul of buildings through the techniques of Chinese writing brush on the western drawing paper, his ink painting combines with eastern and western style. Charles has a special love of Macao and likes to draw on the street with his delicate strokes depicting the typical Macao buildings.

The new thematic pack “Macao Seen by Artists” issued by Macao Post has recorded 8 paintings of Charles Chauderlot that are coincided with the themes of Macao stamps. The pack combines with the stamps that are depicted by the Macao stamp designers with the same sceneries, the works came from Lio Man Cheong, Yu Si, Victor Hugo Marreiros, Leong Chi Hang, Wilson Chi Ian Lam and Lai Ieng.

An exquisite protective hard cover is presented with the painting of the famous street in Macao from Charles Chauderlot – Paixão Alley. It comprises 7 series of stamps previously issued with the topics of the architectures of Macao and traditions, which includes: the “Festivals – Tou-Tei” issued in 2002, “Classified Cultural Buildings – Taipa and Coloane Islands” in 2003, “Macao World Heritage” in 2005, “Streets of Macao” in 2006, “Chinese Traditional Shops II” in 2007, the definitive stamps and label stamps of “World Heritage” issued in 2008.



This pack will be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of Macao Post Headquarters, “Rua do Campo” Post Office, Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office, Airport Post Office, and the Communications Museum starting from 28th October, 2011. This pack is priced at MOP308.00, and it is an excellent product, to the stamp collectors and art lovers.


Commemorative Envelope of “CHINA 2011 – 27th Asian International Stamp Exhibition”

Macao Post will participate the “CHINA 2011 – 27th Asian International Stamp Exhibition”, located at Wuxi, China, during 11th to 15th November 2011. To commemorate this Exhibition, Macao Post issues the commemorative envelopes and provides the commemorative postmark cancellation service on site of the exhibition.

Be convenience to the philatelist, the commemorative envelope with stamp priced at MOP4.00 will also be available for sale at the Philately Shop of Macao Post Headquarters starting from 11th November.

To celebrate the 58th Macau Grand Prix, Macao Post announced that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up behind the Lisboa Stand (Restriction area for ticket entry) and the Philatelic Shop of Macao Post Headquarters on 19th and 20th November 2011, providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “58th Macau Grand Prix”.

               

Two designs of commemorative envelopes priced at MOP2.50 for each will be issued, and various philatelic products will be available for sale during the above activity. The service hours are as following:

REPRINT OF PERSONALIZED STAMPS “CELEBRATION”

Macao Post will issue the reprint of personalized stamps “Celebration” on 1st December, 2011, its original design and stamp codes remain unchanged; for identification, the year of printing has been changed to (REIMP 2011).



The first edition of these personalized stamps was issued on 9th October 2008, and were later reprinted and issued on 8th April 2009 and 1st May 2010 respectively.

With the service of Macao Post, customers can select his own photos to be printed on personalized stamps “Celebration” in creating a unique stamp sheetlet of his own. It’s a great choice of special occasions for the associations and individuals.
