STAMP ISSUE “70TH ANNIVERSARY OF TAI FUNG BANK”

Tai Fung Bank, formerly known as “Tai Fung Money Changer”, was founded by Mr. Ho Yin and others in 1942, and having been operating in Macao for 70 years, Tai Fung Bank not only witnessed the history of the Macao society but also grew up together with her people.

Macao Post will issue the stamp theme “70th Anniversary of Tai Fung Bank” on 28th March, 2012, to mark the history of transformation in Macao’s banking system. This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet. The design shows the different era of the emblems and buildings of Tai Fung Bank, as well as the sculpture of the golden dragon that symbolizes the success of its development. The anniversary of red ribbon is shown on the souvenir sheet to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Tai Fung Bank.

The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the “Rua do Campo” Post Office, from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., and the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is Ms. Anita, Fung Pou Chu, and the text of the information brochure is written by Tai Fung Bank Limited.

This is the fourth issue in 2012. The previous issued stamps are “Lunar Year of the Dragon” on 05/01/2012, “A New Era of Smoke-free Macao” on 31/01/2012 and “I Ching, Pa Kua VIII” on 01/03/2012.

Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Asian Pacific Postal Union”

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Asian Pacific Postal Union, Macao Post announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at our Philatelic Shop located at Macao Post Headquarters at 13:00 to 18:00 on 1st April 2012 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Asian Pacific Postal Union”.

           

A commemorative envelope priced at MOP2.50 will be issued, and various philatelic products will also be available for sale during the above activity.

Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “Cerimónia de Bênção e Boas-Vindas à Relíquia do Buda a Macau”

To celebrate the “Cerimónia de Bênção e Boas-Vindas à Relíquia do Buda a Macau”, Macao Post announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at Macau East Asian Games Dome between 9 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on May 1st, 2012 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “Cerimónia de Bênção e Boas-Vindas à Relíquia do Buda a Macau”.

           

A commemorative envelope will be distributed to public, and various philatelic products will also be available for sale during the above activity.
