STAMP ISSUE “LITERATURE AND ITS CHARACTERS – THE PEONY PAVILION”

The stamp series “Literature and its Characters”, includes the themes of “Dream of the Red Mansion”, “A Journey to the West”, “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms”, “The Outlaws of the Marsh”, “Li Sao” and “The Romance of the Western Chamber”, which are appreciated by collectors worldwide. The most famous work “The Peony Pavilion” by Tang Xianzu, playwright in the Ming Dynasty as the continuation of this popular series. Macao Post will issue this stamp theme “Literature and its Characters – The Peony Pavilion” on 30th November, 2012. The Peony Pavilion, the full name is “The Peony Pavilion Revival”, which is known with “Legends of Purple Hairpin”, “The Handan Dream”, “The Nanke Dream” as “Four Dreams of Yuming Hall”, it’s a charming love story. This issue includes a set of six stamps portray the classic plots from the novel between Du Liniang and Liu Mengmei, dreaming due to love and loving in the dream, includes “Revisit for the Dream”, “Self Portrait and Last Wish”, “Infernal Judgment”, “Reunion and Achieving the Dream”, “Resurrection and Marriage Without Consent” and “Travel to the Imperial Court and Celebrations of the Marriage”. The souvenir sheet “An Amazing Dream in the Garden” portrays the picturesque mood of Du Liniang saw Liu Mengmei and had a heart-to-heart talk in her dream.

The above issue will be available for sale at the Macao Post Headquarters, from 9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m., the “Rua do Campo” Post Office, from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., the Maritime Ferry Terminal Post Office and the Airport Post Office, from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m., and the Communications Museum, from 9:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is Ms. Poon Kam Ling, and the text of the information brochure is written by Mr. Tuo Qianqiu.

Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “13th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region”

To celebrate the 13th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Macao Post announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at our Philatelic Shop located at Macao Post Headquarters at 9:00 to 17:30 on 20th December 2012 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “13th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region”.

        

A commemorative envelope priced at MOP2.50 will be issued, and various philatelic products will also be available for sale during the above activity.

Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “2nd East Asian Philately Exhibition”

To celebrate the 2nd East Asian Philately Exhibition, Macao Post announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at Macau Polytechnic Institute Multisport Pavilion, on 28th to 30th December 2012, providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “2nd East Asian Philately Exhibition”.

A commemorative envelope will be distributed to public, and various philatelic products will also be available for sale during the above activity. The service hours are as following:
