Stamp Issue “Literature and its Characters – Luo Shen Fu”

Cao Zhi, courtesy name Zijian, was a litterateur of the Three Kingdoms period. As the founder of Wuyan poetry, he made great achievement in literature. In addition, he is also good at writing ode and prose, represented by “Luo Shen Fu” (Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River). Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “Literature and its Characters – Luo Shen Fu” on 10^th August, 2020, so as to promote traditional Chinese culture and to pay tribute to Cao Zhi and his poem “Luo Shen Fu”.

This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet, the stamps are portrayed the scenarios of “Luo Shen Fu”, with its plots between fantasy and reality, include “Adventure”, “Tokens of love”, “Farewell” and “Romantic attachment”. The artistic modeling of the Goddess of the Luo River is the embodiment of beauty. Cai Zhi, earnest pursuit of the Goddess of the Luo River and its tragic end are the reflection and metaphor of Cao Zhi’s life, which is full of ideals but ends in suffering.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.). The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The philatelic products are as follows:

The stamp designer of this issue is Ms. Poon Kam Ling, and the text of the information brochure is written by Ms. Zhou Qiao.
