Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will release the second issue of the fourth series of Chinese Zodiac philatelic products with the stamp theme “Lunar Year of the Ox” on 5^th January, 2021. The conceptual design of the fourth series is based on the four seasons “Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter”, with the changes of the four seasons being a beautiful painting. As soon as the Jade Rat left, the Golden Ox arrived. With the coming of Spring, the Ox naturally becomes the central theme of the new “Lunar Year”.

This issue includes a set of four stamps are represented by the Yellow Cow as Spring, the Dairy Cattle as Summer, the Wild Ox as Fall and the Yak as Winter, respectively. The souvenir sheet is illustrated an ox in the Spring accompanied with a shepherd boy. With the arrival of Spring, these exquisite philatelic products dedicated to the “Lunar Year of the Ox” are issued, to celebrate the festival and wish that the “Oxen Spirit” be promoted, spread and integrated into the community and people’s mind.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.). The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The philatelic products are as follows:

Presentation Pack:

This presentation pack contains one set of four stamps, one souvenir sheet, one first day cover with stamps and one first day cover with souvenir sheet of the same issue, this pack is priced at MOP120.00.

Gift Set of Gaiwans and Stamps:

A prestigious gift box contains two “purple clay” gaiwans of “Lunar Year of the Ox”, with the theme “Spring and Summer” and “Fall and Winter” respectively, and a presentation pack with one set of four stamps, priced at MOP468.00.  It is certainly an excellent product, either as a collectable or as an elegant gift, and it will only be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of General Post Office. Commemorative Envelope (Joint Issue)

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau and China National Philatelic Corporation are jointly issued a commemorative envelope of “Lunar Year of the Ox” with the printing quantity of 16,000 envelopes, it affixed with one set of four Macao stamps at MOP17.00 of the above issue and one set of two China stamps at RMB2.40 and cancelled with the postmarks of Macao and China respectively, the total of 3,000 to be sold in Macao is priced at MOP30.00.

The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Lei Tak Seng, and the text of the information brochure is written by Mr. Lei Kun Teng.

This is the first theme of 2021 issues.
