This year marks the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China” on 1^st July, 2021. A hundred years ago, China amidst internal and external turmoil and unprecedented social crises in the Chinese nation. Since then, the CPC united and guided people of all ethnicities to overcome countless insurmountable obstacles, to create one miracle after another that has left an indelible impression on history, and to write down a glorious epic that surprises the world.

The Macao people believe that, with full and accurate enforcement of “one country, two systems” principle, adhere to the principle of “Patriots governing Macao”, resolutely safeguard China’s sovereignty, security and development interests, and proactively integrate into the overall development of the country, Macao, like a “Lotus Flower in Full Bloom”, will undoubtedly become even more brilliant and prosperous.

This issue includes a set of four stamps, the images are illustrated respectively: the site of the 1^st National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the relief sculpture of the May Fourth Movement, the Red Boat of South Lake and the relief sculpture of the May Thirtieth Movement, the former site of the Provisional Central Government of the Soviet Republic of China and the relief sculpture of the Nanchang Uprising of 1^st August, the Baota Mountain in Yan’an City and the relief sculpture of the Anti-Japanese Guerrilla War. The souvenir sheet depicts the relief sculpture of the Monument to the People’s Heroes “Victory Crossing the Yangtze River”; the evolution from stone sculptures to the illustrations of the characters, which describe the great deeds that remained in history; the sea of red flags filling the great scenery with joy and celebration, and also the greatness of the crossing of the Yangtze River by thousands of horses.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.). The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The philatelic products are as follows:

Besides the above philatelic products, the presentation pack with the theme “Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China” will also be released. This pack contains one set of four stamps, one souvenir sheet, one first day cover with stamps and one first day cover with souvenir sheet, it is priced at MOP130.00.

The stamp designers of this issue are Mr. Chi Ian Lam and Ms. Xuhao Fu, and the text of the information brochure is written by the Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, Mr. Fu Ziying.
