Stamp Issue “150^th Anniversary of Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association”

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “150^th Anniversary of Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association” on 28^th October, 2021. The Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association is one of the large-scale non-governmental charities in Macao. Founded in 1871, with a long history spanning over three centuries and is now celebrating its 150^th anniversary.

The Charitable Association’s objectives are boosting charity, providing medical services, developing education, and benefiting the residents. Since its establishment, the Charitable Association has been committed to carrying out a variety of charitable causes, including: free medical service, donation of medicines, disaster relief, free funerals, public health promotion, and medical census, as well as providing assistance to patients with special difficulties by establishing special funds.

This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet, with delicate lines and sharp colours to present the scope of the Charitable Association’s services, including: Kiang Wu Hospital, Kiang Wu Nursing College, Keang Peng School, and social service organizations such as Kiang Wu Funeral Parlor and Mourning Garden.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.). The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The philatelic products are as follows:
