Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “20^th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Unitary Police Service” on 29^th October, 2021. The launch of this commemorative stamp witnesses the development of the Unitary Police Service. This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet.

In 2001, the Unitary Police Service was established by the Macao Special Administrative Region. It aims to allocate resources, analyse intelligence, coordinate and lead the operations of the two police bodies in a more effective manner, as well as to maximise the efficiency of crime prevention and control.

Upholding the three guiding principles of the Secretary for Security, namely, “proactive policing”, “community policing” and “proximity policing”, the Unitary Police Service has built in recent years a modern policing model that calls on “the police to serve the people, the people to support the police”. Meanwhile, such projects as “Smart Policing” and “Macao Video Surveillance System” have been organised and coordinated to reinforce police with technology, as well as to support the “Smart City” and “Safe City” initiatives of the Macao SAR Government.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.). The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The philatelic products are as follows:

The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Ng Wai Kin, and the text of the information brochure is written by the Unitary Police Service of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
