Stamp Issue “Museums and their Collections VI – Macao Grand Prix Museum”

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau issued the stamp themes “The Macao Museum of Art”, “Communications Museum”, “Macao Museum”, “Lin Zexu Memorial Museum of Macao” and “Maritime Museum” under the stamp series of “Museums and their Collections” between 2003 and 2016. The sixth series with the stamp theme “Museums and their Collections VI – Macao Grand Prix Museum” will be issued on 18^th November, 2021.

The Macao Grand Prix Museum was inaugurated on 18^th November, 1993, to commemorate the 40^th anniversary of the Macao Grand Prix. In 2016, the Macao Government Tourism Office decided to reform the Tourism Activities Centre into the new Macao Grand Prix Museum in order to achieve the goal of developing diversified tourism products. After expansion, the Macao Grand Prix Museum was officially opened on 1^st June, 2021, providing visitors with knowledge, entertainment, leisure and learning elements related to the Macao Grand Prix.

This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet, illustrating cars and motorcycles exhibited at the Museum, which have been in Macao Grand Prix races for the past six decades, recording the glorious history of the Macao Grand Prix.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.). The mail service for the relative philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The philatelic products are as follows:

The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Ung Vai Meng, and the text of the information brochure is written by the Macao Grand Prix Museum.
