To celebrate the occasion of the 70^th Anniversary of the Nursery Service of the Women’s General Association, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “70^th Anniversary of the Nursery Service of the Women’s General Association” on 21^st May, 2022.

At the early 1950s, the founders of the Women’s General Association opened the first nursery in 1952, with the aim of helping local women participate in social activities and reduce their pressure of caring for kids at home. Thanks to the selfless dedication and the hard work of several generations in the past 70 years, the Nursery under the Women's General Association has developed from a simple house into a Nursery of eight day care centres with excellent teachers, refined equipment, safety and hygiene. And the childcare services have been extended to families not only in Macao peninsula, but also those in Taipa and Coloane.

This issue includes a set of two stamps and one souvenir sheet. The colourful stamps depict the joyful nursery children who are like sprouts nurtured with the utmost care by all teachers and employees.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.). The mail service for the philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark of this issue will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Ng Wai Kin, and the text of the information brochure is written by the Women’s General Association of Macau.
