Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “Transmac – 70 Years in Macao” on 8^th November, 2022. This issue includes a set of two stamps and one souvenir sheet.

“Companhia de Auto-Carros de Macau – Fok Lei” was launched in 1952 and the Company was then restructured and renamed “Transmac – Transportes Urbanos de Macau, S.A.R.L.” (Transmac) in 1988. So far, the Company has provided public transportation services to the citizens in Macao for seventy years.

Over the years, Transmac has been adhering to the business objectives of “Transmac – Innovation and Progression”. In order for citizens to enjoy better passenger experiences, the Company has been constantly improving its vehicles. In 2018, Transmac took the lead in introducing extended-range electric buses into operation to cope with the Macao Special Administrative Region Government in promoting the development of green transportation, which also contributed to the realization of the national goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. To more considerately cater for the transportation needs of passengers, the Company has been constantly utilizing the latest technology to improve its service and keep pace with the times.

“Seventy Years of Experience, Smarter Future” ― Transmac will make good use of the advanced technology to build a more efficient and smart public transportation based on its 70 years of experience, so as to better serve the citizens of Macao.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.). The mail service for the philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark of this issue will be available on the issue date at the above locations. The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Sun Chi Lon, and the text of the information brochure is written by the Transmac – Transportes Urbanos de Macau S.A.R.L.
