Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue the stamp theme “130^th Anniversary of Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society” on 22^nd November, 2022. This is of the same theme after the issues “Centenary of Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society” in 1992, “120^th Anniversary of Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society” in 2012, and “Tung Sin Tong – 125 Years of Society Solidarity” in 2017.

The Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society was founded in 1892. At that time, the Chinese merchants in Macao and abroad was seeking to realize the self-salvation of the Chinese people. With the support of 2,494 local and overseas donors, 407 “advocates” elected representatives to form 46 “incorporators”, and they then submitted an application to the Government to establish the organization. With the purpose of “Serving the world together whole-heartedly, welcoming all people with benevolence”, Tung Sin Tong inspire people to serve the underprivileged and those in need with solidarity. With the development of society, Tung Sin Tong constantly innovates and serves the public as needed to embody the tradition of Chinese charitable culture.

This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet. The stamps depict the major daily services of Tung Sin Tong, including the social assistance, medical services, free education, free nursery services, elderly services, and thanksgiving day.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.). The mail service for the philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark of this issue will be available on the issue date at the above locations.
