Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will release the fourth issue of the fourth series of Chinese Zodiac philatelic products with the stamp theme “Lunar Year of the Rabbit” on 5^th January, 2023. The charm of the rabbit is not only in its appearance. It is agile and good at running, intelligent and alert. Many of its characteristics correspond to our ideals and ambitions. Hence, the adorable rabbit has gradually become a spiritual symbol of traditional Chinese culture.

The conceptual design of the fourth series is based on the four seasons. This issue includes a set of four stamps and one souvenir sheet, designed by the Macao painter, Mr. Lio Man Cheong. The stamps illustrate the rabbits with long ears and short tails painted in watercolor, accompanied with daffodils, lotus flowers, chrysanthemums and plum blossoms, representing Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, respectively. With the arrival of the Lunar Year of the Rabbit, these exquisite philatelic products are excellent gifts to wish all Chinese around the world good health and wisdom.

The above issue will be available for sale at the General Post Office (9:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.), the Communications Museum (9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.), and the “Rua do Campo” Post Office (9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.). The mail service for the philatelic products cancelled with the commemorative postmark of this issue will be available on the issue date at the above locations. Presentation Pack:

The presentation pack contains one set of four stamps, one souvenir sheet, one first day cover with stamps and one first day cover with souvenir sheet. It is priced at MOP120.00.

Gift Set of Gaiwan and Stamps:

The prestigious gift box contains one “ceramic” gaiwan of “Lunar Year of the Rabbit” with the theme of fall, and a presentation pack with one set of four stamps. It is certainly an excellent product, either as a collectable or as an elegant gift, and it will only be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of General Post Office. Commemorative Envelope (Joint Issue)

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau and China National Philatelic Co., Ltd. will jointly issue a commemorative envelope of “Lunar Year of the Rabbit” with the printing quantity of 27,724 envelopes. It affixed with one set of four Macao stamps at MOP17.00 and one set of two China stamps at RMB2.40, and cancelled with the postmarks of Macao Post and Telecommunications and China Post respectively. The total of 2,500 envelopes to be sold in Macao is priced at MOP30.00 each.

The stamp designer of this issue is Mr. Lio Man Cheong, and the text of the information brochure is written by Mr. Lei Kun Teng.
